At the end September 2012,, 1652 Romanian-Canadian businesses  were registered in Romania.

The total value of the social capital invested by these businesses was of 75,9 mil. USD. Out of the total investment in Romania, the Romanian-Canadian share was of 0.16%, and Canada was on the 33rd place among all the states represented in business investment.

Before 2010, the peak of monetary investment was 2006, with 40, 873.17 thousand CSD, while the peak of registered commercial businesses was 2004 with 122 units.

Most of the mixed businesses can be found in the light industries, agro-foods, transport and tourism, being found in Bucharest, and in Bistriţa-Năsăud, Arad, Harghita, Alba, Cluj and Sălaj counties.

The main export goods to Canada have been: plastic materials, rubber, machinery and electronic equipment, furniture and interior decorations, textiles and common metals. The main imports from Canada are: mineral ores, machinery and electronic equipment, chemical products, live stock and animal products, common metals, as well as optical, photographic and cinematic equipment.
